The Liburds
This destination wedding occurred in the  Dominican Republic, so I started at the beach and used vintage illustrations of the heart-shaped Corculum carissa (Heart Cockle) seashell throughout.

The Coopers
This Spring wedding inspired me to add an interactive touch by including a packet of flower seeds with planting instructions. Rudbeckia gloriosa is common across North America, so we wouldn't introduce an invasive species to regions where guests were flying.

The Klines
This couple is a blast and very down-to-earth, so I wanted to make the invite fun and reflect their personalities. We staged a photo shoot to recreate a photobooth strip for the Save-the-Date. They married in Minnesota and then had a big backyard party on Vashon Island, Washington.

Materials: Wrapping paper, card and text stock, photo paper, staples, and a metal brad to attach to the Save-the-Date piece. I packaged all parts of the invite into a clear cellophane #10 envelope to mail to guests.
The Concept: Klines
Pulling visual elements from the Save-the-Date, I wanted to have this creative couple paint a large canvas or two together so that I could cut swatches of them to include in the invitation. Unfortunately, due to the short timeframe before the wedding, the painting idea wouldn't happen, so I had to pivot and create the invitation you can see above.

The Petersons
This couple was among the first to get married at the Olympic Sculpture Park's event space, which overlooks art and Elliott Bay's sparkling water. Each table was named after an area in the Pacific Northwest where Britta and Mike had spent time together.
